…It’s been a long road getting here. To be sitting on the edge of this records release is almost surreal. It would be next to impossible to explain what an experience it has been making this thing, so let’s not even try. Just consider this: looked at from a purely mathematical standpoint, to have finally reached the 100-hour mark, after 40 months of work, is the equivalent of having already traveled 98.99% of the distance of this 3-plus year ordeal. That leaves us with roughly 1% of this journey ahead. And that number is shrinking by the minute. How we got here, we don’t know. We’re just happy we got here at all…

…Today we made both “T H E Y” and “Departure” available in their extended formats, including not only the final mastered versions, but complimentary soundscapes (“Smoke & Mirrors,” and “Requiem,”) accompanying the end of each piece. This gives you a brief glimpse into some of the surrounding textures of the record as a whole. While HOUSE OF SLEEP consists of 13 tracks, it is technically 20 segments divided amongst the aforementioned 13. Within those segments are certain sonic and lyrical motifs that weave their way in and out of the playlist, spelling out a riddle that only you, the listener, can perceive and decode. If what you want is a simple set of finely-crafted songs to take your mind off of a busy day, you’ll find that here. But if you want more out of your listening experience, HOUSE OF SLEEP is also a multi-layered, texturally-expansive, darkly-psychedelic extrasensory event, designed to assist the listener in the unveiling of a higher consciousness, one laying dormant within you. All you have to do is tune in…

…But this road has not been traveled alone, and we would not have made it this far without the support of you, our fans. To know that you were always there, waiting to lend us your eyes and ears made it possible for us to pull this project out of the ditch every time it fell off course. Without the continued emotional (and often financial) support of our families and loved ones, this record would be little more than a brief sketch in the notebook it was hastily scratched into in the summer of 2003. But a simple vision blossomed into a beautiful rose. And that rose gave birth to a garden. And in time, that garden would grow to such wildly epic proportions that it began to more closely resemble a labyrinth than anything else. But the garden has returned. And so have we…
