On 12.13.08, at the stroke of midnight, we will finally release HOUSE OF SLEEP. It will be available through this site for a limited time as a FREE download in DRM-free MP3 format. Consider this a gift of sorts to our fans who have stood by us throughout the years. Experience the album that has taken us more than 40 months to complete, and on several occasions, threatened to break us up. Album is awesome, loving every second, but 160kbps?? That’s an insult to the music you guys have written. I’d be happy to PayPal you for a WAV or FLAC version, but would actually prefer a disc. Do you plan on releasing a CD? This is something I bet I’m not the only person to ask.

Thanks for the feedback. Believe me, I know what you mean. I’m a complete audiophile. However, for the purpose at hand, 160kbps is a good compromise for quality and file size. Even with this, we still hit a traffic overload/bump last night, but I’m sure that was due to other factors as well. We are certainly going to explore pay-for options in multiple formats (i.e. 320kbps MP3, FLAC, Apple Lossless, etc.) directly from us. Unfortunately, this just wasn’t something we could offer by launch time, but keep in mind everything here is a work in progress. We will eventually have an e-commerce section to the site set up. Also keep in mind that within the next few weeks, HOUSE OF SLEEP will begin appearing on every major online digital music retailer, ultimately in better quality formats.
